
In this photo from Camel Drivers (Reed & Roland, Schiffer Publishing), the closest Camel to the camera on the far right appears to be ‘N’, making it Vaughn’s F.1 Camel F6034. I had always read and seen it depicted as having a white cowling as his flight commander marking. Could this perhaps be before it was painted white?
